Nico Stelmaszyk triumphs at 18th Worms Nibelungen Open 2025, Soham Datar second

FM Nico Stelmaszyk (GER), CM Soham Datar, Martin Heider (GER), Daniel Kurpriyanov (UKR) and GM Hagen Poetsch (GER) scored 5.5/7 each at 18th Worms Nibelungen Open 2025. Nico became champion. The remaining were placed second to fifth respectively according to tie-breaks. The total prize fund was €5100. The top three prizes were €1000, €500 and €350 each. The four-day seven round Rating Open tournament was organized by SV Worms 1878 e.V. at Auditorium of the Paternus School, Grabenstraße in Worms-Pfeddersheim, Germany from 2nd to 5th October 2025. A total of 79 players including a GM took part from eight countries across the world in Group A. The four-day seven round Rating Open tournament was organized by SV Worms 1878 e.V. at Auditorium of the Paternus School, Grabenstraße 50 in Worms-Pfeddersheim, Germany from 2nd to 5th October 2025. The time control of the event was 40 moves in 90 minutes + 30 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move.
